Replace the worn seal on a 25 mm shaft with the Oil Seal 25x47x12 NBR TC — 25x47x12 mm, TC profile, NBR compound — it drops into a 47 mm bore and stops the leak. Popular in workshop motors, helical gearboxes, vane pumps and tractor attachments.

Inside the TC double-lip design
As a TC-pattern seal it seals in two stages: a primary spring-loaded lip holds the oil film on the shaft, while a second lip fends off dust and water spray; the rubber-covered case keeps the whole unit anchored in the bore.
About the NBR nitrile compound
Nitrile rubber (NBR) is the workhorse of oil sealing: fully compatible with mineral oils, lubricating greases and common hydraulic fluids — the media found in most gearboxes and motors. Avoid contact with brake fluid, and keep spares shaded from sunlight.
It is normal for a shaft to measure a few tenths of a millimetre smaller than nominal; the sealing lip is engineered to take up that difference.
