The Oil Seal 45x78x8 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 45x78x8 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 45 mm shaft seated in a 78 mm bore — a size common in steel-plant gearboxes, screw conveyors and big-bore rotating shafts.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
As a TC-pattern seal it seals in two stages: a primary spring-loaded lip holds the oil film on the shaft, while a second lip fends off dust and water spray; the rubber-covered case keeps the whole unit anchored in the bore.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
This is an NBR-nitrile seal — the everyday elastomer for oil-lubricated equipment, compatible with mineral oils, greases and hydraulic media. For longest life, avoid brake fluid contact and store spares away from direct sunlight.
If your shaft measures a few tenths of a millimetre under the nominal size, that is normal — the sealing lip is designed with interference for exactly that.
