Replace the worn seal on a 42 mm shaft with the Oil Seal 42x65x8 NBR TC — 42x65x8 mm, TC profile, NBR compound — it drops into a 65 mm bore and stops the leak. Popular in AC motors, worm gearboxes, gear pumps and harvest machinery.

Inside the TC double-lip design
TC seals work with a triple defence — a rubber-coated case seating tightly in the bore, a main lip held against the shaft by a garter spring, and an outer dust lip that keeps abrasive particles away.
Why NBR for this seal
Made of NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), the seal tolerates the mineral oils and lithium greases that lubricate most machinery. Standard practice: keep NBR away from brake fluid, and store unused seals in their bag, out of sunlight.
Measuring your shaft a few tenths under the nominal figure is expected; the spring-loaded lip is built to seal with that small interference.
