This TC oil seal measures 40x90x10 mm and is machined for a 40 mm shaft rotating inside a 90 mm housing — a dimension you will meet in AC motors, worm gearboxes, gear pumps and harvest machinery.

How the TC design works
Three features define the TC type: the rubber outer case that fills small bore imperfections, the garter-spring-loaded lip that maintains contact under runout, and the auxiliary lip that acts as a dirt barrier.
About the NBR nitrile compound
Nitrile rubber (NBR) is the workhorse of oil sealing: fully compatible with mineral oils, lubricating greases and common hydraulic fluids — the media found in most gearboxes and motors. Avoid contact with brake fluid, and keep spares shaded from sunlight.
Measuring your shaft a few tenths under the nominal figure is expected; the spring-loaded lip is built to seal with that small interference.
