Engineered as a direct replacement, the Oil Seal 40x58x8 NBR TC (40x58x8 mm) seals 40 mm shafts against dust and moisture from the moment it seats in the 58 mm bore — common in drive motors, planetary gearboxes, irrigation pumps and feed mixers.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
TC seals work with a triple defence — a rubber-coated case seating tightly in the bore, a main lip held against the shaft by a garter spring, and an outer dust lip that keeps abrasive particles away.
NBR nitrile rubber at a glance
This is an NBR-nitrile seal — the everyday elastomer for oil-lubricated equipment, compatible with mineral oils, greases and hydraulic media. For longest life, avoid brake fluid contact and store spares away from direct sunlight.
Should the shaft read slightly below the listed size — typically a few tenths of a millimetre — no concern: the lip’s interference fit accounts for it.
