The 38x48x7 mm Oil Seal 38x48x7 NBR TC keeps lubricant circulating where it belongs — inside the housing — on the 38 mm shafts and 48 mm bores typical of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and agricultural machinery.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
The TC arrangement — rubber-covered case, garter-spring main lip, external dust lip — is the industry’s go-to solution wherever a shaft spins in an oil-filled housing.
About the NBR nitrile compound
NBR (Nitrile) is the standard compound for general industrial sealing. It handles mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids, which is why it is the default choice in gearboxes, electric motors and pumps. Keep it away from brake fluid, and store spare seals out of direct sunlight.
Measuring your shaft a few tenths under the nominal figure is expected; the spring-loaded lip is built to seal with that small interference.
