The Oil Seal 20x45x12 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 20x45x12 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 20 mm shaft seated in a 45 mm bore — a size common in light-duty motors, drills, mini pumps and small gearbox assemblies.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
TC is the standard rotary-shaft profile for good reason: a rubber OD seals the bore side, a spring-loaded lip seals the shaft side, and a dust lip extends service life in dirty environments.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
NBR (Nitrile) is the standard compound for general industrial sealing. It handles mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids, which is why it is the default choice in gearboxes, electric motors and pumps. Keep it away from brake fluid, and store spare seals out of direct sunlight.
It is normal for a shaft to measure a few tenths of a millimetre smaller than nominal; the sealing lip is engineered to take up that difference.
