The Oil Seal 18x35x7 NBR TC (18x35x7 mm) renews the sealing on a 18 mm shaft where grease or oil must stay in and grit must stay out — a typical fitment in household appliance motors, power tools, aquarium pumps and small gear drives.

How the TC design works
Its TC construction pairs a rubber-covered OD (a snug press-fit in the bore) with a spring-energised sealing lip and a separate dust lip, so both oil retention and contamination exclusion are covered.
Why NBR for this seal
NBR (Nitrile) is the standard compound for general industrial sealing. It handles mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids, which is why it is the default choice in gearboxes, electric motors and pumps. Keep it away from brake fluid, and store spare seals out of direct sunlight.
If your shaft measures a few tenths of a millimetre under the nominal size, that is normal — the sealing lip is designed with interference for exactly that.
