Engineered as a direct replacement, the Oil Seal 28x38x7 NBR TC (28x38x7 mm) seals 28 mm shafts against dust and moisture from the moment it seats in the 38 mm bore — common in electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and agricultural machinery.

About the TC profile
TC seals work with a triple defence — a rubber-coated case seating tightly in the bore, a main lip held against the shaft by a garter spring, and an outer dust lip that keeps abrasive particles away.
NBR nitrile rubber at a glance
The seal lip is moulded from NBR, a nitrile rubber prized for resistance to mineral oil, grease and hydraulic fluids — the default elastomer for general machinery. It should not meet brake fluid, and stored spares fare best away from UV light.
If your shaft measures a few tenths of a millimetre under the nominal size, that is normal — the sealing lip is designed with interference for exactly that.
