What is an X-type oil seal?
The X-type is a rotary shaft seal with an X-shaped sealing profile. The profile gives the lip a larger contact area and strong radial follow on the shaft, so the seal keeps oil and grease in even when the shaft has minor runout or surface wear. Moulded in nitrile rubber, it handles mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids at temperatures from -30 °C to +100 °C.
