TC Oil Seals
The TC profile — a rubber-covered, spring-loaded seal with a primary lip and a dust lip — is the most widely used rotary shaft seal in the world. We keep thousands of metric sizes in stock, ready to ship from one piece.

What is a TC oil seal?
A TC oil seal is a double-lip rotary shaft seal with a rubber-covered outer case and a garter spring behind the sealing lip. The main lip keeps oil and grease inside the housing; the secondary “dust lip” keeps dirt, dust and moisture out. That combination is why the TC profile covers the majority of everyday sealing jobs — gearboxes, electric motors, pumps, reducers and agricultural machinery.
| Feature | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Double lip | Primary lip retains lubricant, dust lip blocks contaminants — longer service life in dirty environments. |
| Garter spring | Keeps constant radial pressure on the shaft, compensating for lip wear and minor shaft runout. |
| Rubber-covered case | Seals the housing bore even with light surface damage or small bore tolerances; easy to press in. |
| Metric sizing | Listed by shaft Ø × bore Ø × width in millimetres — measure three numbers and you have your part. |

Common questions
How do I measure a TC oil seal?
Three numbers define it: the shaft diameter (= inner diameter, ID), the housing bore diameter (= outer diameter, OD) and the width of the old seal. Measure in millimetres and search those numbers above — no need to decode manufacturer part numbers.
Which rubber compound should I choose?
NBR (nitrile) covers most oils and greases up to +100 °C and is the default choice. Choose FKM (Viton) for high temperatures and fuels, EPDM for water and steam, PTFE for aggressive media. Our material guide compares all compounds side by side.
Can I order a single seal?
Yes. One piece is a normal order here — there is no minimum quantity, and parcels leave our warehouse within 48 hours.
My old seal has a brand part number, not a size. What now?
Use our free cross-reference service: send us the OEM part number (SKF, Freudenberg, NOK, Corteco…) and we will match it to an equivalent TC seal from stock.
TC seals in stock, from 4 mm to 300 mm shafts
Every TC oil seal in our catalog is listed the way you measure it: inner diameter, outer diameter, width — all in millimetres. Instead of cross-referencing brand catalogs, you search the size and see live stock, price and compound options on one page. Our TC range covers NBR, FKM, EPDM and PTFE compounds for shafts from 4 mm instrument spindles up to 300 mm industrial shafts.
Maintenance teams and repair shops use us as a fast replacement source: measure the old seal, order before noon, and the parcel leaves within 48 hours with tracked delivery. If your size is not listed, send us the dimensions — we source special dimensions weekly.
