About the X-type profile
The X-type profile — often called a quad ring — has a four-lobed cross-section that seals in both directions. Unlike an O-ring it resists spiral twist, which makes it the standard choice for reciprocating hydraulic and pneumatic rods as well as slow rotary motion.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
NBR (Nitrile) is the standard compound for general industrial sealing. It handles mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids, which is why it is the default choice in gearboxes, electric motors and pumps. Keep it away from brake fluid, and store spare seals out of direct sunlight.
