About the TC profile
The TC profile is the most widely used rotary shaft seal design: a rubber-covered outer shell that presses into the housing bore, a spring-loaded primary lip that retains the lubricant, and a secondary dust lip that keeps contamination away from the sealing edge.
Material: FKM – Viton
FKM (Viton®) keeps sealing where NBR gives up: continuous heat, hot oils, fuels and many aggressive chemicals. It is the right choice near engines, in hot gearboxes and wherever elevated temperature ages ordinary rubber within months. Note that FKM is not recommended for hot water or steam service.
Measure the shaft where the lip rides, not the old seal — worn rubber always reads small.
