The Oil Seal 38x52x10 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 38x52x10 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 38 mm shaft seated in a 52 mm bore — a size common in drive motors, planetary gearboxes, irrigation pumps and feed mixers.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
Three features define the TC type: the rubber outer case that fills small bore imperfections, the garter-spring-loaded lip that maintains contact under runout, and the auxiliary lip that acts as a dirt barrier.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
Material-wise this is NBR nitrile: a balanced compound for mineral oil, diesel-range fuels and greases at moderate temperatures — ideal for rotating equipment. Two cautions: no exposure to glycol-based brake fluid, and keep stock seals out of sunlight.
If your shaft measures a few tenths of a millimetre under the nominal size, that is normal — the sealing lip is designed with interference for exactly that.
