The Oil Seal 56x85x8 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 56x85x8 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 56 mm shaft seated in a 85 mm bore — a size common in heavy-duty gearboxes, conveyor drums and large pump shafts.

How the TC design works
The TC arrangement — rubber-covered case, garter-spring main lip, external dust lip — is the industry’s go-to solution wherever a shaft spins in an oil-filled housing.
NBR nitrile rubber at a glance
The seal lip is moulded from NBR, a nitrile rubber prized for resistance to mineral oil, grease and hydraulic fluids — the default elastomer for general machinery. It should not meet brake fluid, and stored spares fare best away from UV light.
Don’t worry if your micrometer shows the shaft a few tenths under size — the garter-sprung lip is designed to seal against exactly that condition.
