This TC oil seal measures 28x42x7 mm and is machined for a 28 mm shaft rotating inside a 42 mm housing — a dimension you will meet in workshop motors, helical gearboxes, vane pumps and tractor attachments.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
TC seals work with a triple defence — a rubber-coated case seating tightly in the bore, a main lip held against the shaft by a garter spring, and an outer dust lip that keeps abrasive particles away.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
The compound is NBR nitrile, selected for oil-and-grease compatibility across motors, reducers and pumps. Note the limits: brake fluid degrades nitrile, and sunlight ages stored rubber — so store spares dark and dry.
If your shaft measures a few tenths of a millimetre under the nominal size, that is normal — the sealing lip is designed with interference for exactly that.
