The Oil Seal 42x58x8 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 42x58x8 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 42 mm shaft seated in a 58 mm bore — a size common in AC motors, worm gearboxes, gear pumps and harvest machinery.

Why the TC profile is so widely used
The TC layout brings three protections together: a rubber outer surface that grips the housing bore, a garter-spring lip that tracks slight shaft movement, and a secondary dust lip that blocks grit before it reaches the sealing edge.
Why NBR for this seal
NBR nitrile rubber gives the lip its resistance to mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids — exactly the fluids a gearbox or pump seal meet. It is the industry’s general-purpose choice; just keep it clear of brake fluid and direct sun when storing.
Don’t worry if your micrometer shows the shaft a few tenths under size — the garter-sprung lip is designed to seal against exactly that condition.
