The Oil Seal 55x80x8 NBR TC is a TC rotary shaft seal sized 55x80x8 mm (ID × OD × width). It keeps oil inside and dirt outside on a 55 mm shaft seated in a 80 mm bore — a size common in steel-plant gearboxes, screw conveyors and big-bore rotating shafts.

How the TC design works
As a TC-pattern seal it seals in two stages: a primary spring-loaded lip holds the oil film on the shaft, while a second lip fends off dust and water spray; the rubber-covered case keeps the whole unit anchored in the bore.
Why NBR for this seal
Made of NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), the seal tolerates the mineral oils and lithium greases that lubricate most machinery. Standard practice: keep NBR away from brake fluid, and store unused seals in their bag, out of sunlight.
Measuring your shaft a few tenths under the nominal figure is expected; the spring-loaded lip is built to seal with that small interference.
