The Oil Seal 40x68x12 NBR TC (40x68x12 mm) renews the sealing on a 40 mm shaft where grease or oil must stay in and grit must stay out — a typical fitment in AC motors, worm gearboxes, gear pumps and harvest machinery.

Inside the TC double-lip design
As a TC-pattern seal it seals in two stages: a primary spring-loaded lip holds the oil film on the shaft, while a second lip fends off dust and water spray; the rubber-covered case keeps the whole unit anchored in the bore.
Material: NBR – Nitrile
The seal lip is moulded from NBR, a nitrile rubber prized for resistance to mineral oil, grease and hydraulic fluids — the default elastomer for general machinery. It should not meet brake fluid, and stored spares fare best away from UV light.
It is normal for a shaft to measure a few tenths of a millimetre smaller than nominal; the sealing lip is engineered to take up that difference.
