Replace the worn seal on a 18 mm shaft with the Oil Seal 18x35x8 NBR TC — 18x35x8 mm, TC profile, NBR compound — it drops into a 35 mm bore and stops the leak. Popular in household appliance motors, power tools, aquarium pumps and small gear drives.

Inside the TC double-lip design
Every TC seal combines three elements: a rubber-covered case that grips the bore, a spring-loaded sealing lip that follows shaft runout, and a dust lip that shields the main lip from contamination.
About the NBR nitrile compound
Made of NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), the seal tolerates the mineral oils and lithium greases that lubricate most machinery. Standard practice: keep NBR away from brake fluid, and store unused seals in their bag, out of sunlight.
It is normal for a shaft to measure a few tenths of a millimetre smaller than nominal; the sealing lip is engineered to take up that difference.
