The Oil Seal 17x38x7 NBR TC (17x38x7 mm) renews the sealing on a 17 mm shaft where grease or oil must stay in and grit must stay out — a typical fitment in household appliance motors, power tools, aquarium pumps and small gear drives.

Inside the TC double-lip design
As a TC-pattern seal it seals in two stages: a primary spring-loaded lip holds the oil film on the shaft, while a second lip fends off dust and water spray; the rubber-covered case keeps the whole unit anchored in the bore.
NBR nitrile rubber at a glance
Made of NBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber), the seal tolerates the mineral oils and lithium greases that lubricate most machinery. Standard practice: keep NBR away from brake fluid, and store unused seals in their bag, out of sunlight.
It is normal for a shaft to measure a few tenths of a millimetre smaller than nominal; the sealing lip is engineered to take up that difference.
